Crate & kids Branding

Crate & kids Rebrand . Crate & Barrel . 2019
brand design, logo design, signage design, digital design, photo art direction
In 2017, The Land of Nod was transformed into Crate & kids. After the initial launch, the brand went through several evolutions. In 2019, we wanted to push the brand to be more aligned with the current trends in kids design which approached nurseries and kids rooms as part of the whole home versus a very kid specific space. Think more sophisticated, less crazy colors and giant licensed characters. The color palette was expanded and I explored more playful versions of the current logo, including adding a striped design in the &kids.
As part of the new branding, we rolled out new store signage which leveraged what became the core brand striped logo. I also modernized the paid social approach, in some cases leveraging existing photography to create animated videos. I also art directed photography and designs for a Labor Day campaign which utilized a brighter, more modern approach.
